Fernando Silva

Fernando Silva is currently working as the Data Protection Officer of eu-LISA, the European Agency for the operational management of Large-Scale IT systems in the area of freedom, security and justice. With an IT background, as computer and electronics engineer, also holds the certification for DPOs among master courses in Security of information and Information Management.

From 1995 he started working with the Portuguese Data Protection Authority as technical expert and IT Auditor. Participated on several technical inspections addressing the legal compliance in the area of personal Data Protection to organisations in the European Judicial and security areas.

Joined Eurojust in 2012 as technical advisor of the DPO and assumed the role of DPO at eu-LISA in 2014.
